Your local plumber in North Las Vegas

North Las Vegas is its own city — incorporated back in 1946, with its own government and, importantly for plumbing, its own water utility. It's roughly a 25-minute drive from our S Eastern Ave shop, and we cover it end to end, from the older core near Lake Mead Boulevard to the newer master plans up by Aliante.

That split personality is the whole challenge here. The original neighborhoods have pipe pushing 60 or 70 years old, while the northern edge is barely out of its builder warranty. One city, two completely different sets of plumbing problems — and we fix both.

Common plumbing problems in North Las Vegas homes

The older core of North Las Vegas — the grid south of Cheyenne around Civic Center Drive and Losee — was built with galvanized steel supply pipe. That steel corrodes from the inside out, choking your water pressure to a trickle and tinting the water brown. Once it starts, the only lasting fix is a repipe, and we do them cleanly in PEX or copper.

Head north toward Aliante, Eldorado and the Skye Canyon edge and the housing flips to 2000s and newer builds. Different era, different issues: sediment-packed water heaters, early slab leaks, and the same hard-water scale that hits every home in the valley regardless of age.

We know the North Las Vegas area

We run North Las Vegas constantly — the streets off Craig Road, Camino Al Norte and Lake Mead, near Craig Ranch Regional Park and the Civic Center. A recent job near Losee Road was a classic: a homeowner with 'no pressure upstairs' had original galvanized lines scaled almost completely shut. We repiped the house in PEX and the pressure came back like new.

Knowing which era of pipe is likely in the ground before we arrive means we walk in with the right plan instead of guessing — and we can hand you an honest, up-front price.

Two cities of plumbing in one

North Las Vegas has been its own city since 1946, and its housing splits cleanly into two worlds that fail in completely different ways.

  • **The older core** south of Cheyenne, around Civic Center and Losee — galvanized supply rusting shut, cast-iron sewers cracking.
  • **The northern master plans** toward Aliante and Eldorado — sediment-packed water heaters and early slab leaks.
  • **Its own water utility**, separate from the Valley Water District, on the same hard Colorado River supply.

We walk in knowing which era is in the ground

The advantage of working North Las Vegas end to end is that we usually know what's buried before we arrive. A no-pressure call off Losee is almost certainly galvanized; a leaking heater up in Aliante is a scaled 2000s tank. Reading the neighborhood and the build date means we show up with the right plan and the right parts, hand you an honest up-front price, and don't bill you for the time it takes to figure out what a house this age always does.

FAQ

North Las Vegas plumbing questions

Does North Las Vegas have different water than Las Vegas?

It's a different utility — North Las Vegas runs its own water system rather than the Las Vegas Valley Water District. But the source is the same hard Colorado River supply, so scale buildup and early water-heater failure are just as common here.

My older North Las Vegas home has low, rusty water pressure. What's wrong?

That's the signature of failing galvanized steel pipe, common in the older core. It corrodes shut from the inside and discolors the water. The lasting fix is a whole-home repipe — read more on replacing galvanized pipe.

Do you offer 24/7 emergency plumbing in North Las Vegas?

Yes. Burst pipes and sewer backups don't wait for morning, and neither do we. We dispatch around the clock across North Las Vegas — call (614) 830-0578.

Does North Las Vegas handle its own permits and inspections?

It does — North Las Vegas is a separate city with its own building department, so a repipe, sewer repair or certain water-heater jobs permit and inspect through the city, not Clark County. We pull those permits routinely and meet the inspector, so the paperwork side of your job is handled without a delay.
